So far I am a straight A grad student. I got an A on my paper last week, and an A on the speech I gave today. Very cool.

Today we have an extreme heat alert. Luckily I had school all day. When I got out of class in Northridge at 4:oo, the thermometer on my car registered 118 degrees. As I drove home, I passed by a house where the dad was outside hosing off his kid. She was fully dressed and he had the hose planted on top of her head. I almost pulled over so I could get in on that.
