Getting on my last nerve
Here is a pregnancy side effect I'd never heard of before. I have 3 sites of permanent nerve damage in my body. Two are from operations and one is from a cat scratch that needed stitches. (Beware of the precious kitten who thinks she's a fierce hunter and is stalking your feet.) In all cases what happened was that I felt a numbness or tingling or poking at the wound site for a year or so after the wound had healed, and then after a year I would feel the symptom rarely. Well, now it's all back. I'm walking around with 3 phantom wounds. It's not painful or bothersome, just weird. And proof that time doesn't heal all wounds.
