The nursery is coming along now. We received some gift cards after the wedding and we just used them to buy some baby gear. For the remaining big-ticket items we have been making purchases around town on Craigslist. We picked up a vintage rocking chair and a (modern) bassinet that way, and at very good prices. I shop around and budget very carefully. I've had some anxiety about leaving my job. Even if I wanted to go back, I'm sure there's still going to be a period of time where I will not be able to sit in front of a computer for 10 hours a day. And during that time I will not get paid and our income is cut by half. It's nerve-wracking, but DH says it is fine.
