Garlic harvest

We planted garlic at the winter solstice. Now that it is summer solstice it is time to harvest it!

We harvested 6 heads of garlic. We had planted it in 3 different places including a big pot. The ones in the pot survived the best, similar to our strawberries.

We are cooking garlic bread right now. The little garlic cloves crush into a kind of translucent paste unlike any garlic paste we'd ever seen before. I wonder how old garlic is when it gets to the supermarket. Here is the crushed garlic mixed with a little olive oil, before it went onto the bread.
