No one cares about this except me, I think, but I figured out that those jets I first saw back in 2012 are F-15s, not F-18s, and they are the Oregon Air National Guard.  In my recently weekly trips through PDX I saw they are permanently stationed there, but several Google searches brought up nothing and I just couldn't figure out why they are here.  Every time I'm with someone who sees the F-15s they seem surprised.  Which is why I think no one cares about this at all.  I would have thought the local newspapers would have mentioned this at some point.
