House hunting in Amity

Yesterday we went and looked at 2 houses in the nearby town of Amity.  One of them is completely renovated and move-in ready.  The other one is less than half the price and is falling apart.  DH argues that it is not falling apart just because the garage is crooked and it needs a new roof (by admission of the seller) and the exterior is decaying and the rain gutters were falling off.  I didn't even look at the interior, I stayed in the car with Libby.  I preferred the move-in ready house and DH preferred the other one.  We probably will not seriously consider either one of them because Amity is over an hour's drive from Portland.
