...and breakfast and dinner and snacks and dessert.
Food tastes really good to me now. I don't know how much that has to do with the pregnancy and how much that has to do with the fact that we eat a lot of fresh food that we made ourselves, and it simply tastes really good. I am so lucky to be married to DH, who acts as a chef as a hobby. The other morning he stumbled out of bed and mumbled something about barbecuing a chicken. Less than an hour later we had a whole barbecued chicken making the house smell delicious. That's a typical hour for him. Yum!
When I eat, it feels like I don't want to stop. There's no trigger from my stomach to my brain that says I am full. Although lately, there just physically is not enough room in my abdomen, so when I eat or drink much at all, my abdomen starts tearing and the pain forces me to stop. I've gained 40 pounds. That is 10 more pounds than you're supposed to gain during pregnancy. I am hoping to start dancing again after the birth and that will help with the weight loss. There are reasons why I will need to lose the extra weight right away.
DH and I are predicting that The Bun will be over 8 pounds. A medical assistant looked at me rather wide-eyed the other day and said my baby looked Big. By now I am used to hearing that, and with all the tests we went through early on to rule out Big = unhealthy, we think Big now means healthy. I suppose if she was really too big, they would have advised me to start smoking or something, so I'm not worried.
